With an experienced staff of professional guides, you'll have the upper hand in making the most of your annual trip. Hunts and drop camps are available during different time periods throughout the fall including archery, muzzleloader and rifle seasons.
Full Service Drop Camps

Chinook Winds Outfitters offers full service hunting camps in the beautiful high country of Colorado in units 37, 371 and 28. Our camps are near timberline and are horse or foot accessible only. At camp we will take care of all your food needs with a gourmet cook.. We will provide you with a great hunting experience with all of our focus on getting you your permitted animal.

Price includes:
  • Horses & horse care by guide
  • Food & cook tent, wood stove, tables, chairs & utensils
  • Experienced camp cook & preparation of all meals
  • Sleeping tents with cots and foam bedding
  • Lanterns, laundry line
  • On demand hot water system with shower house
  • Packing in & out of camp
  • Cleaning, quartering & preparation of animals for transport
Prices on request. Minimum of 4 hunters.
Drop Camps Using Our Equipment

Chinook Winds Outfitters offers full service drop camps in the beautiful high country of Colorado in units 37, 371 and 28. We will provide saddled horses to take you to your camp and pack horses (weight limit 100lbs) for packing food and personal gear.

A guide will check on your camp every other day or as often as requested. All hunted game will be packed back to Copper Mountain Stables from accessible horse areas only. Hunters are responsible for cleaning, quartering and preparation of their animals. After the hunt a guide or guides will pack hunters and their game back to Copper Mountain Stables.

Game packing is not included in price, but available any day of the season at an additional charge.

All hunted game will be packed back to Copper Mountain Stables from accessible horse areas only. Hunters are responsible for cleaning, quartering and preparation of their animals.
